At the MCH Messecenter Herning, Herning, Denmark 30 year old danish fighter Mikkel “the Viking Warrior” Kessler(42W-1L-32KO’s) from Copenhagen, Denmark faught 33 year old #1WBA mandatory challenger Venezuelan southpaw -Gusmyr ” Azucar Torpedo” Perdomo(16W-3L-10KO’s) from La guaira, Venezuela in a 12 round fight for the WBA supermiddleweight title..
Mikkel Kessler who came into this fight risking his belt with a tune-up prior to participating in the highly anticipated Super Six middleweight tournament being hosted by the great boxing network Showtime in the USA.
Mikkel kessler ended the fight inside 4 rounds in th highly watched european fight wich drew high numbers with a phenomenal peak market share of 72 percent. 1.645.000 viewers watched the clash on TV2 during its peak, with an average of 1.342.000 fans (58,2 percent) tuning in between 21:55 and 22.35. to show what a huge fan following Kessler draws in his country and beyond.
