Takashi Uchiyama stops Salgado!

At the Tokyo Big site in Tokyo, Japan, Undefeated 30 year old Takashi Uchiyama (14W-0L-11KO’s) of Kasukabe, Saitama, Japan captured the WBA super featherweight title with a twelfth round technical knockout over previously unbeaten 25 year old Juan Carlos Salgado (21W-1L-1DR-15KO’s)
of Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. Uchiyama dominated the fight and knocked Salgado down in the final round with a combination to the head late in the final round. Salgado returned to his feet briefly before the referee Raul Caiz stopped the bout with 12 seconds remaining in the fight.
Official Verdict: Takashi Uchiyama winner by way of 12th round TKO and is now the new WBA world super featherweight Champion.
