As conflicting  reports were heard and published in the country of Venenzuela, pertaining to that of the WBC lightweight champion Edwin Valero, allegedly had been an arrested and detained by the police of Merida to answer on four charges that purportedly included contempt to the authority, excess of speed, alcoholic intoxication and possession of firearm.
These details on charges have been disputed by the Valero Team, contesting the validity.
Valero dismisses any connection to a firearm.
Edwin Valero was in Venenzuela were he was visiting his parents near the city of Merida, upon returning from his visit he was pulled over on the claim he was driving in excess of speed and asked to exit the vehicle, Valero  did so rapidly without protest and when the Officer realized who he was interviewing-  tried to extort, and when Valero negated attempts, he was then taken to the facility CICPC(Cuerpo de Investigaciones Cientificas, Penales y Criminalisticas) where it was officially declared upon a negative toxology exam, that he was free to go and all formal charges dismissed!

Humberto Soto is rumored to be his next opponent as the under card of Pacquiao-Cotto. That’s what I am hearing, it’s not official.

What a bunch of lies.. I’m venezuelan myself and cops HARDLY EVER make people pull over. They usually don’t even mind if you, as a driver, don’t stop at a red light or consume alcohol while driving; they do the same. and they are commonly and easily bribed. If valero was actually arrested, is because those policemen wanted some money. but anyway…
GO VALERO! we’re proud of you and hope you never get beaten! hehe. arriba venezuela y mas naa carajoooo
