Edwin Valero (26-0-26)stops Hector Velazquez
At the Polideportivo José María Vargas, in La Guaira, Venezuela – WBC lightweight world champion Edwin Valero successfuly defended the 135pound belt by destroying Hector Velazquez in 6 rounds of a one sided beat down by Valero. Valero came in sharp and landed many staight punch combos and staggered Velazquez on serveral occasions. Valero faught a skillfull and hard paced fight and after 6 rounds of target practice , Velazquez and his corner elected to not continue and come out for the seventh. This makes KO#26 for Valero who continues with a 100% K0 ratio.
