Edwin Valero has been denied a work Visa and will weigh other options away from USA for the moment after being close to a Las Vegas, Nevada fight and several fight considerations in Mexico is now set to target a fight in his native soil of Venezuela for December 12-2009.

Edwin Valero :

“I have the permission from my promoter, I had a conversation with him and he authorized it, he said the only thing is that its secured for that day on the 12th of december to have it transmitted by HBO;furthermore, I can fight here(Venezuela) most assuredlly with #1 contender that is the mexican Antonio Demarco!”…

“The idea is to give opportunity to the youth, and the boxers that are in this country not making it, We want to revive boxing and what better site than in the Nuevo Circo de Caracas to revive boxing, This historic site for Venezuelans!, We believe the entry should be free and we will count on everybodys support!”...

“My problem was with the consulant from the United States in Tijuana, Baja California, where I had the interview with authorities, they made me feel wrong, I felt they treated me badly, to me and my family, they said I was denied because I did not qualify for the Visa, they never told me it was in revision, I think there was somthing political, but I want to make clear that I do need the Visa, its for work, I do not want to go live over there. To all boxers this is a sacrafice, but for me to be outside of my country is more, I remember ive had permission to work in state wide territories since 2003 and I did not have a license to fight in Nevada, now that there is a license they negate my Visa at the Consulant of Tijuana, and I add : My dream would be to fight in Las Vegas against Manny Pacquiao but if not, the Phillipines is also an option, I dont have a problem going to his house to beat him!“…

“There are other options, now I can fight here(Venezuela) and Asia returns as an option, Mexico is also an intresting market, I want to make clear that my career has just begun, the first time that I went for a title in 2006 I prepared here and now the same will happen, The Professor Roberto Alcazar is going to arrive and we are going to work together!”…

It is very unfortunate that you should be denied a visa to fight in the United States. You are one of the most vicious and interesting fighters in boxing today. It is always fun to watch you fight. If I can watch your fight on the internet with my credit card like the UFC or internet PPV I will. I hope you can fight in the United States once more. You are a very good fighter. It’s a shame about the Visa.

ur a great fighter..but talking about a fight against pacman is too early for you. u need more fights and wins against other good fighters before u can prove ur worth against the p4p fighter…and better move up in weights f u want to catch up with manny coz he is not going back to yours…a fight and win against hatton then with cotto will surely give u ur dream fight against manny…

STOP SUPPORTING YOUR PRESIDENT HUGO CHAVEZ !!!!! IF YOU CAN DO THAT FOR SURE AMERICA WILL GIVE YOU THE VISA TO FIGHT HERE. AMERICA IS NOT A FRIEND OF YOUR PRESIDENT PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
